Ebnflōh: Mōnad

10.–11. oktober 2026

21:00, Store scene

19:00, Store scene

Mōnad is not a fixed narrative, but a living state – a work that insists on presence and freedom of expression. The title refers to the concept of a single entity encompassing multiple universes, and the performance explores how different facets of a life can co-exist simultaneously.

On stage, Alexandra ‘Spicey’ Landé and Jai Nitai Lotus create an open and shifting landscape where dance, sound, text, and objects merge. Rooted in hip-hop and street dance, the performance unfolds in the moment, through improvisation and close interplay. What may appear to be a solo transforms into a dynamic exchange between body and sound in a constantly changing space, where energy builds up, breaks down, and emerges anew.

Alexandra ‘Spicey’ Landé is a Montréal-based choreographer and a central figure on the Quebec hip-hop scene. Her passion for the genre was sparked back in the 1980s, and her close, reciprocal relationship with the culture forms the core of her artistic signature. In 2005, she founded the Bust A Move Festival, which today is Canada’s largest street dance competition, co-presented by TOHU.

Alongside her choreographic work, Landé has been active as a performer and educator for over 20 years. Driven by a desire to bring street dance into a performing arts context, she established the company Ebnflōh in 2015. Here, she works closely with a network of artists who challenge and shape her creative processes. Through Ebnflōh, she develops a distinctive choreographic language rooted in her own vision. Her dedication and artistic contributions make her one of the most vital driving forces for street dance in Canada today.
