In the moment
of the first one
doubting.
When uttering the first word became necessary
the transcendent quality of nothingness
a silent thought.
We are vessels. There is Schönbergs opera. The story of Moses and Aaron we continuously produce without aim. Sounds and soundmachines.
Creating conditions for the possibility of nonexistence.
We are still, we listen, then
we move
leave
that of which we don´t know for sure if it has been left or if it has never been touched.
Has it existed or never will?
Drawing on our desire to be and become. The constant crisis of being.
Living up to the wonder of our painful wondering resolving through limiting
our thoughts and giving purpose to
our doing, knowing this means never to reach
the
promised
land
of understanding.

For the final production of the 13th graduating class of BA actors and scenographers, the students will develop and perform a new work under the artistic guidance of Anders Paulin.
Paulin brings together a strong dynamic articulating theory and practice. In the education at HiØ/Norwegian Theatre Academy together, BA students in Acting and Scenography work closely together across disciplines. In their training, students research unique collaborative methods for making artistic work with expanded perspectives on theatre, scenography, acting and performance. The BA study, which aims to develop individual and ensemble practices, is enhanced by both independent and directed productions over the course of three years.

Anders Paulin has been directing more than 30 productions at theatres such as Nationaltheatret in Oslo, Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, Stockholm City Theatre, The Royal Theatre in Copenhagen. Paulin has been teaching regularly at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts and The Danish School of Performing Arts, and is from 2017 teaching at Oslo National Academy of the Arts. In 2016 he curated and produced the international conference Fiction|Reality at Dansehallerne in Copenhagen. The last couple of years Anders Paulin has been working with the accumulative archive/performance Three White Soldiers together with Johan Forsman.
