Faust for kids

19.–21. oktober 2012

Faust wants to know everything about everything. He wants to solve the mystery of the universe. Faust reads and reads, becoming wiser and wiser, but at the same time he continues to age. The more he learns, the more his frustration grows over all the things he knows nothing about.

Faust is already an old man, his time on earth is running out, and still there are many things he hasn´t had time to explore. This is when the slick devil Mephisto eyes an opportunity to trick Faust. Mephisto promises to make all of Faust´s earthly wishes come true, but for this Faust must promise to give his eternal soul to the devil when he dies.

But what is a soul? And how long is an eternity? Faust wants answers to all his questions so strongly, so he accepts the devil´s proposal.

In «Faust for Kids», the actors Maria, Tora and Anders take us on a journey through Goethe´s «Faust». Goethe is one of Europe´s most famous authors thoughout time.
