How does new technology shape our understanding of ourselves? NFTs: Non Fuckable Tokens combines performance art with AI, Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR and AR) to cast a critical eye on technology’s influence in our time. The work examines the evolution of internet culture from a decolonial, feminist perspective, exposing the misogyny and racism that lurk beneath the surface of virtual spaces.
The performance also reflects on how futuristic narratives can emerge from ancient rituals and Indigenous identities – questioning which stories we choose to carry into the future.
