Jingyi Wang
Lecture Performance: Voice to Voice

28. januar 2026

19:00, Lille scene

In this lecture performance, artist Jingyi Wang tells the itinerary of Voice to Voice from the inside: what set the project in motion, what kept it unfolding, and what changed along the way.

Moving through key encounters, research detours, and production choices, Wang reveals how the work gradually transformed—and how her own position shifted with it: from an initial intuition to a listening method, and finally to questions that could no longer be ignored

Rather than presenting definite answers, the lecture opens up to what was tested, what failed, and what remained unresolved. Moments of failure, doubt, and dilemmas shaped the project as much as its visible outcomes. Wang shares the thought processes that grew in parallel with the work, including what stayed offstage—and why those offstage developments matter for how the work can be listened to.
