Fotballfaglig teaterprolog #4: Overganger

18:00–20:00 Foyer Free admission

Extended program Conversation

What happens when a performing artist or a football player goes from being fully defined by their artistic or athletic career—to suddenly having to translate and adapt that experience and expertise into the language of the labor market? Does society at large recognize the value of such experiences?

For this autumn's "‘Fotballfaglig teaterprolog," in collaboration with SKUDA, NODA, and the Athlete’s Career Center (Idrettens Karrieresenter), we have invited a panel consisting of Live Rosenvinge, Tone Øvrebøe Johannessen, Matias Rønningen, and Karianne Stensen Gulliksen. The panel will discuss career transitions within the performing arts and sports.

The starting point for the conversation is inspired by former Italian defender Alia Guagni, who, in her final match before retiring, had her CV printed on the front of her jersey. With this, she aimed to shed light on the challenges many female football players face when seeking new career paths once their opportunities on the pitch diminish.

In the conversation series "‘Fotballfaglig teaterprolog," we examine issues that the performing arts and football have in common. The football pitch and the theater stage are arenas for grand gestures, surprises, and excitement that gather an expectant audience. Here, passion meets analysis, and a sense of community arises—while major questions of societal importance play out. The initiative was started by Artistic Director (and former goalkeeper) Jørgen Knudsen and theater artist (and former right winger) Vegard Vinge.
