Extended program Conversation

Each season, Black Box invites theatre artist Maritea Dæhlin to curate and moderate breakfast conversations with invited guests. We serve a simple breakfast, coffee, and tea, and invite the audience to join the conversation. This time, Maritea Dæhlin has invited Finn Adrian Jorkjen.

Maritea Dæhlin is an artist who works and lives in Norway and Mexico. Her work spans theatre, video performance, performance art, sound art, and stage text. Her artistic practice is characterized by multilingualism, non-linearity, and at times absurdity. Dæhlin was previously an associate artist at Black Box teater (2021–2022).

Finn Adrian Jorkjen lives and works in Oslo. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Art in Oslo, KHiO in 2020, and the Academy of Fine Art in Trondheim, NTNU in 2015. Jorkjen has exhibited work at venues including Kunstsiloen, Hamar Performance Festival, Heimdal Kunstforening, Ravnedans, and the Autumn Exhibition 2022, where he received the Norwegian Association of Art Societies’ Debutant Prize 2022 for the performance Hvordan det går (“How It Goes”). He is also part of the performance duo Koppen & Jorkjen and is the initiator of the artist network Performance Art Norway. His work explores issues related to language, identity, mass media, and is driven by ambivalent feelings.
