The work of Mette Edvardsen is situated within the performing arts, but also explores other media and formats such as video, books and writing, with an emphasis on their relationship to the performing arts as practice and situation. She is currently a research fellow at Oslo National Academy of the Arts, Dance Academy. In 2016 Edvardsen received the national Ibsen Award for the production We to Be. oslo premiered at Oslo Internasjonale Teaterfestival and was nominated to the Norwegian Dance critics award 2016 / 2017.
